2001

In 2001, High school of Pilsen, o.p.s. became the first non-university-type higher education in the Czech Republic and offered undergraduate allied healthcare programmes.

2008

The legal predecessor of our faculty was High Scholl of Pilsen, o.p.s. that ended on 31 December 2008.

2008

Faculty of Health Care Studies of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen was established from 1 June 2008 by a resolution of the Academic Senate of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen.

HOW DID WE BECOME FACULTY OF HEALTH CARE STUDIES?

The Faculty of Health Care Studies of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen was established from 1 June 2008 by a resolution of the Academic Senate of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. Its legal predecessor was High school of Pilsen, o.p.s. that officially ended on 31 December 2008. Students and employees of High school of Pilsen, o.p.s. became members of the academic community of the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. Accredited study programmes implemented by High school of Pilsen, o.p.s. are now implemented to the same extent by our faculty. Our study programes are designed according to the requirements of the WHO and the EU, respect the Sorbonne Declaration and other documents, such as the Lisbon Convention or the World Declaration on Higher Education in the 21st Century.
